Primary Duties

1. Operates, inspects, and maintains engines, compressors, auxiliary equipment and other associated facilities to minimize fuel requirements.

2. Performs maintenance testing and preventative maintenance functions on engines, compressors, auxiliary equipment and other associated facilities.

3. Supports major equipment inspections, repairs, and modifications.

4. Properly communicates work activities with the appropriate gas control in order to execute injection and withdrawal orders in an efficient manner.

5. Operates, inspects, and maintains gas storage wells, storage pipelines, gas conditioning equipment and pressure control equipment.

6. Tests, operates, and maintains plant measurement equipment if assigned.

7. Demonstrates and applies the knowledge, skills and abilities to safely, timely and efficiently complete assignments within Company policies, procedures and applicable regulations.

8. Performs other related duties as required.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
1. An Associates degree in instrumentation or mechanics from a technical college with a minimum of three year's experience in gas pipeline operations and/or maintenance of related mechanical equipment. Electronic instrumentation and controls experience is preferred; or
2. A general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) with a minimum of four year's experience in gas pipeline operations and/or maintenance of related mechanical equipment. Electronic instrumentation and controls experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
1. Ability to generate 125-foot pounds of force, pushing and pulling, at a contact point of 70 inches. (Ex: operating valves) 2. Ability to generate 105-foot pounds of vertical, downward force, at a contact point of 70 inches. (Ex: operating valves) 3. Ability to lift and carry 38 pounds. (Ex: lifting and carrying materials or buckets) 4. Ability to ascend/descend 30 rungs on a ladder. 5. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch. 6. Ability to walk a distance of 500 feet.

WORK CONDITIONS:
Works indoors and outdoor environment. Requires frequently performing activities, including, but not limited to, stooping, bending, crawling, kneeling, grasping, reaching, climbing and lifting objects.

OTHER INFORMATION:
Subject to call-out and emergency stand-by situations on a 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week basis.
