Store Allocation Planner
Department: PlanningTitle: Store Allocation PlannerReports to: Manager of Store Planning & Inventory AllocationFLSA Status: ExemptLocation: New York/HybridJOB SUMMARY:The Store Allocation Planner is responsible for executing plans and strategies that support effective inventoryallocation across the store fleet. The Planner will partner closely with Merchandising, Chain Planning, Field,and Inventory Allocation partners to identify opportunities and risks and act accordingly. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to independently provide sound analytics, draw, summarize and communicateconclusions and gain consensus with cross-functional business partners and leadership. The Store AllocationPlanner will play a critical role in building a positive work culture, driving employee involvement, and supporting change management efforts within the retail organization. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Build and monitor climate plans that support profitable product entry and exit by weather zone andstore attribute Inform and reconcile chain level plans with climate strategies Build and maintain seasonal store plans that support sales and optimize inventory utilization Ensure assortment strategies are reflected in store plans and support inventory allocations Analyze and evaluate zonal product transitions and adjust plans, as necessary Analyze Region/District/Store performance and adjust plans to reflect current trends Maintain targeted store sales and inventory relationships Partner with Zone and District leadership to gather feedback and insights to inform store plans Build and monitor store plans for new stores, remodels, and relocations; Track performance andadjust plans, as necessary Align strategies with Merchant, Chain Planner, and Allocation Analyst to drive revenue and margin Performs other duties as may be assigned REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data interpretation, and an understanding of retail metrics Proficiency in planning, allocation, or inventory management software Exceptional communication, leadership, and people skills Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Knowledge of retail industry trends and best practices A passion for retail and a customer-centric mindset EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in business, Retail Management, or a related field Proven experience in retail store planning, inventory management, or allocation, with a history ofeffective collaboration PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee mustfrequently use their hands to handle or feel objects and must be able to speak and hear clearly. The employee may occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilitiesrequired for this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
