RESPONSIBILITIES
The Unit Supply clerk purchases, stocks and distributes equipment and materials for the department.
Stocks, distributes and tracks all purchases Distributes appropriate paperwork Maintains inventory of all supplies, equipment and materials Writes requisitions Receives and checks all shipments Prepares and maintains appropriate reports and files Directs deliveries to other departments Answers phone calls Performs office clerical tasks, as needed Other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
3 years of related experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities Valid Driver's License preferred English professional fluency, preferred. Ability to speak, read and write to appropriate and consistently communicate in English, preferred. Ability to utilize a wide variety of reference and descriptive data and information, such as purchase orders, invoices, delivery slips, vendor contracts and safety data sheets Proficiency with MS Office Suite Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion Ability to obtain and maintain RSO Vetting Security Clearance Ability to successfully pass any employment related drug screening and background security check Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is typically based in a busy service center/maintenance garage environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold and humidity. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Normal work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may also be required.May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 75 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
