Job Overview
The Bloomie’s Store Manager leads the Bloomie’s team to drive sales by reimagining how people shop. Bridging the physical and digital worlds in the market through exceptional and genuine customer experiences, they lead the definition of the Bloomie’s vision, allowing customers to shop easily across all brand touchpoints. Through an inspirational leadership style, strong interpersonal skills, and solid business acumen, the Bloomie’s Store Manager fosters a customer-first selling culture and develops a motivated, high-performing team to bring the Bloomie’s mission to life. They are a strong merchant-entrepreneur and have an inherent passion for fashion, style, and merchandise, driving sales, service, and loyalty performance throughout the team. The Bloomie’s Store Manager has total four-wall accountability and creates an inclusive environment that maximizes sales and profit objectives while anticipating the daily needs of the business and responding to market and fashion trends. Essential Functions
Lead the Bloomie’s colleagues to deliver the store’s, ecommerce, and omni-channel capabilities that optimizes ROI and provides a superior customer experience Drive conversion and deliver sales by role modeling customer-centric selling behaviors while observing and coaching team to provide a fun shopping environment where all customers feel welcome Support a tailored customer selling journey that promotes loyalty and engagement with the brand while maximizing selling opportunities Engage the local community, showing presence and visibility, and get to know the potential customer, ensuring that what is important to them is important to us On-board and coach the team on the store’s service and selling standards, including digital selling and client acquisition and development and appointment and fitting room selling with style serving as a consistent inspiration Provide customer-based feedback on assortment opportunities to central merchant organization to maximize sales Develop collaborative business partnerships with Central, Merchant, and Support teams that drive business performance Coach and mentor team on the operational standards of the store including merchandising, floor plans, logistics, visual directives, shipments, transfers, floor moves, signing, and markdowns
Qualifications and Competencies
We encourage candidates with either a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field to apply 5+ years related experience. Strong selling expertise. Entrepreneurial mindset. Customer experience orientation. Distinctive visual aesthetic. Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to work, influence, and gain consensus across functional lines at multiple levels. Manage conflict and resolve issues when they occur. Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, and all levels of internal and external business partners. High level of confidence and independence. Strong collaboration and relationship orientation: Ability to build partnerships with key business stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage smart decision-making across our organization. Collaboration skills are critical. Ability to effectively plan, execute strategies, and juggle multiple projects. Identify primary and secondary objectives, prioritize tasks, and communicate timelines and actions needed to stakeholders. Monitor and maneuver workflow to achieve priorities. Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive company information. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge and/or experience with Contemporary Women’s Apparel is preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
