Store Officer - Contract (Construction Chemical Plant at Rayong)

Responsibilities:

Manage the on-site construction materials and equipment storage, ensuring efficient inventory control and stock management. Oversee the receiving, handling, and storage of materials, tools, and equipment delivered to the construction site, following proper procedures and safety protocols. Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including the tracking of material usage, equipment status, and stock levels. Conduct regular physical stock checks and audits to identify any discrepancies, losses, or damaged items, and take appropriate corrective actions. Implement and maintain effective stock control systems, including ordering, replenishment, and rotation, to ensure the availability of necessary materials and equipment. Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate the delivery and distribution of materials and equipment to the construction site. Identify and report any issues related to product quality, delivery delays, or supply chain disruptions, and work with the project team to find solutions. Train and supervise the store staff, including storekeepers and material handlers, to ensure they follow proper procedures and maintain a safe and organized work environment. Ensure the storage facilities and yard are well-maintained, secure, and compliant with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Prepare and submit accurate reports on inventory levels, material consumption, equipment utilization, and any operational concerns. Collaborate with the project management team to optimize the storage and distribution of materials and equipment, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

 

Required Qualifications:

Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a store management or materials control role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and storage best practices. Proficient in using inventory management software, spreadsheets, and other relevant computer applications. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with project team members, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in the construction industry. Forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain one.
