Job Description

Reporting to the Underground Purchasing & Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for the storage, issue and receipting of warehouse stock, spares and consumables for our underground mining operation. Picture large mining excavators, trucks, drills rigs, graders, dozers and other ancillary equipment.

Working in a positive team environment where knowledge is shared and training is provided. On the job support and mentoring goes hand in hand with the experience you will bring to this stores role.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Inventory control - receiving, issuing, storage, inward/outward shipping of supplyDaily and rolling stock takes, accurately recording levelsMaintain a safe and clean work environmentOperating the forklift in a safe and efficient mannerHousekeeping of the warehouse and remote yards in a safe, clean and tidy conditionComply with all safety requirements, company policies and proceduresData entry and processing of invoices in ProntoSupply of goods and materials in a timely mannerEmploy best practice inventory management and logistics processes.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Previous experience in warehousing, logistics or parts within a mining sectorCompetence and confidence operating a forkliftComputer literacy is essential including Excel and Pronto or SAPIdeally hold a qualification relating to warehousing or logistics Hold a full, clean, current driver’s licence A high level of accuracy in stock taking and data entryA high degree of safety awarenessDemonstrated experience providing solutions to problems A self-driven, results and improvement orientated approachThe ability to communicate within a team environment.Undertake periodic stock take of inventory and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
