Store Planner

What you’ll do
+ Plan, manage and deliver accurate and detailed project store floor plans that execute on corporate strategies, adapted to store-specific requirements, considering impact to store fixtures, phasing execution and budget, factoring in market-leading best practices for in store operations and customer experience.
+ Conduct store-specific macro analysis through study of detailed analytical data, market analysis and understanding of critical business and financial inputs.
+ Accurately build order requirements based on plan for critical fixtures and décor, delivered on time and on budget.
+ Collaborate with key cross functional groups daily through proactive engagement to obtain, share and execute on key information (including but not limited to Space Planning, Store Design, Store Fixtures, POP, Store Support, Store Operations and Field Merchandising).
+ Build and manage trusting relationships with Associate Dealers, Senior Management, Field Teams and key stakeholders.
+ Collaborate, present, influence, negotiate and obtain retail plan sign off with project store Associate Dealers.
+ Actively work to improve processes, unlock efficiencies and find innovative ways to plan, manage and execute a project store floor plan.
What you bring
To be successful in this role, you will have progressive retail experience and demonstrated professionalism and leadership. You are highly motivated with commitment and passion to achieve results. Our best Store Planners can adapt to changing work situations and bring proven project management capability. The business is looking for someone who has:
+ Post-Secondary Education with a degree, diploma or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
+ 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
+ Store and/or Space Planning experience in a retail environment and/or Canadian Tire retail experience.
+ Project management experience (specifically managing simultaneous complex, cross-functional projects).
+ Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (primarily Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
+ AutoCAD & JDA Floor Planning experience is an asset (these are the main programs used).
+ Bilingual English/French an asset.
