Your new role - exciting and future-oriented
The Store Shop Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring efficient material handling, inventory management, and coordination with various teams. The role is critical in maintaining safety, meeting customer quality expectations, and ensuring timely delivery.
Responsibilities:
· Managing material movement from the store to the shop floor and coordinating subcontracting material supply to vendors.
· Creating, printing, and posting RQ through SAP with various posting movements; monitoring material issues daily.
· Handling documentation related to Assembly RQ, project transfers, and maintaining accurate Excel records.
· Providing daily updates on RQs to the OM, Assembly Supervisor, and SCM procurement team.
· Allocating material RQs to various functions and updating relevant teams for further processing.
· Posting subcontracting material updates in SAP and notifying the SCM team.
· Conducting vendor reconciliations as necessary.
· Coordinating the issuance of spare and service parts items to the packing team and completing necessary SAP postings.
· Leading Inventory Audits (half-yearly/perpetual), including physical verification of service store materials.
· Facilitating smooth material supply coordination between the Incoming Material team.
· Coordinating with the Internal Logistics team for seamless internal material shifting.
· Maintaining records of hold project materials and ensuring their utilization in upcoming projects.
Requirements/Qualifications:
· A relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is required.
· Extensive factory-level experience with proven team supervisory capabilities.
· Familiarity with steam turbines and their components.
· In-depth knowledge and practical experience in store management and processes.
· Proficiency in SAP.
· Strong problem-solving abilities related to staff, material, and equipment issues.
· Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Windows and Office software.
· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks effectively.
· Strong skills in problem-solving, team building, planning, and decision-making.
· Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members.
