About the role

We seek a dedicated individual who will maintain the Facility’s spare parts and inventory by tracking issues and receipts, loading and unloading trucks and storing parts properly. Position will provide shipping and receiving support and will work closely with the facility in all aspects of spare parts, service procurement and materials management functions. Ensure that on-hand values of spare parts are within established minimums and maximums. Implement control measures over warehouse materials meeting Reworld and industry standards.

Also:

Monitor appropriateness of established minimums and maximum’s, seek authorization(s) to modify established inventory levels as appropriate.Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure the accuracy of the plant’s inventory system.Ensure that purchase orders are placed in adequate time to ensure that received materials and services meet all aspects of quality, safety, timeliness and best value to the company.Ensure that procured materials and services are requisitioned properly and documentation is maintained per Reworld requirements. Loading and unloading of materials from vehicles.Coordinate material and service procurements with other plant departments including daily communication, to ensure on-time delivery of required items/services.Ability to be responsive to plant upset conditions and provide support as needed.Proficiency in the facility’s computer systems.Maintain storage areas in an organized and efficient manner.

 

Requirements:

To be considered for this position the applicant must have a H.S. Diploma, the ability to lift at least 75 pounds and strong computer skills. Experience managing inventory in an industrial environment is also required. Power plant experience is a plus. Prior experience in shipping and receiving is preferred. A mechanical or materials management background would be a plus. A strong working knowledge of personal computers and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Candidate must be able to operate the plant’s mobile equipment (e.g. forklift, light trucks) in a safe manner and in accordance with policy and procedure. Some physical labor (including lifting of objects) is required.
