Job Description:

Indorama Ventures- Intermediate Chemicals is looking for a Storekeeper to join our team in Lake Charles, LA. Indorama warehouse storekeepers perform a variety of material management job functions supporting the site's material needs.  Job duties include receiving, storing, and issuing of materials, while functioning within the SAP enterprise resource planning platform (ERP).

What will be expected from you?

Complete new employee orientation program.Receive incoming material shipments, verify quantities and material order accuracy.  Forklift and hand-truck operation required for the loading/unloading of materials.Stock and issue materials within the primary warehouse, as well as off-site storage locations.Issue facility release of material documents for external plant items and materials.Deliver materials on-site to various intra-plant locations (includes physical loading/unloading of materials).Ability to function daily within Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.Ability to work within the SAP platform to perform goods receipts, goods issues, and maintain material data records. Participate in physical inventory and cycle counts to maintain proper material quantity accuracy.Participate in material management improvement initiatives.Maintain good housekeeping in warehouse areas and equipment.Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis (good attendance/punctuality).Ability to work overtime hours outside of determined work schedule if needed (i.e. scheduled or unscheduled overtime including call-outs). If applicable, ability to work flexible hours/shifts to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives (i.e. 12 hours shifts both day or night schedule).Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.Participate in a team setting to accomplishment company goals and initiatives set forth.  Follow instructions and perform other duties/tasks as assigned by management.Participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.  Complete all company-required computer based or instructor led training programs.

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

High school diploma or equivalent AND Minimum requirement of 3 years manufacturing facility with materials management (MRO) experience required (chemical industry preferred).MUST HAVE OR BE ABLE TO OBTAIN a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).Forklift experience/certification required.Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs.Must have strong written and oral communication skills.Can work in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail.Must be able lift up to 50 pounds.Must have a valid Texas Driver's License.Strong knowledge of SAP system preferred.Working knowledge of industrial materials in various commodities. (i.e. Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Rotating and Fixed Equipment, etc.)
