Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Must comply and support all applicable GMPs (Good Manufacturing Procedures) and Site Security. Focus on maintaining MRO inventory to support mechanical and electrical maintenance practices, while supporting operations, quality, and safety practices. Adhere to the safety and quality policies established by OSHA, NSF, NEC, and the Plant Safety Manager. Maintain the Storeroom environment that adheres to the safe, efficient, and effective work performance expected. Complete documentation regarding the daily maintenance actions performed through SAP. Inspect materials in storage and correct or initiate returns when needed to reject damaged supplies to ensure product being produced meets all quality standards as set by the site Quality and Production Managers. Report any inability perform the job to which they have been assigned to Purchasing Manager. Receive both stock and non-stock materials with the use of powered industrial trucks/forklifts (MHE, Material Handling Equipment). Make pick-ups/deliveries of parts from local suppliers or local DS Smith facilities as needed using a company vehicle. Valid driver’s license required.These duties will include but are not limited to, receiving and storing materials from multiple vendors both domestic and international, being of multiple forms and functions ranging from delicate electronics to large mechanical sub-assemblies and equipment. All unique items will require specific handling and care to ensure reliability, quality and safety integrity are maintained. Specific attention to detail will be of the utmost priority to ensure items being received match the descriptions, specifications and details required by the requesting party. Technological experience and knowledge are essential to optimally utilize the electronic systems used for managing stores and purchasing/receiving documentation as well as labelling and documenting all items as required by reliability, quality, and safety management specifications. Self-direction and the ability to effectively communicate will be core competencies required to track and manage order statuses while communicating with internal and external contacts. The recordkeeping of such transactions and communications is key to ensure the integrity of the inventory and supporting processes. Audits in the form of cycle counts will be required to ensure the integrity of the maintenance inventory data and values.
