Storeroom Clerk

Weyerhaeuser is seeking a talented, organized, and safety-conscious Storeroom Clerk to join the team at our Philadelphia Lumber Mill, located in Philadelphia, MS. As a Storeroom Clerk, you will support the teams to facilitate and improve storeroom systems and processes with a high level of energy, commitment, and follow through to help us achieve and exceed our commitments around safety, reliability, quality, and innovation. The Storeroom Clerk reports to the Materials Manager.

Key Functions:

Participate in planning to ensure parts are available when they are requiredWork closely with vendors and suppliersMaintain ethical and appropriate business relationships with vendors and suppliersPerform with a high level of initiative and constructive participation in storeroom activities including receiving, inspection, storing, issuing, kitting, sourcing, ordering, shipping, obsolescence, critical spares, credit card reconciliation and computerized inventory accuracy and controls, etc.Manage PPE and janitorial supply onsite inventoryFacilitate shipments and documentationAssist with training to ensure compliance with storeroom/site policies and proceduresMaintain a safe, neat, clean, and environmentally responsible work areaWork with procurement to be knowledgeable of delivery commitments and proactively investigate alternate sources of supply when neededOther related duties as assigned by Leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in storeroom coordination, purchasing, receiving, and/or inventory managementPrevious forklift experience, Certification is a plusCMMS (such as SAP) experience
