**Job Posting End Date** 09-30-2024 Please note the job posting will close on the day before the posting end date **Job Summary** Perform duties under general supervision that involve shipping, receiving, checking, inspecting, recording, storing, issuing new, returned and reclaimed stores material, supplies and equipment; issue, track and inspect materials as assigned **Job Description** + Receive, check, inspect for breakage and apparent defects; identify, count, weigh, sort, store and issue new, returned and reclaimed stores material, tools, supplies and equipment from all sources in accordance with specified procedures and complete related papers; make recommendations and suggestions for improvement. + Inspect, clean and operate manual and mechanical material handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, assorted carts, lifts, etc. as well as automotive equipment; travel to pick up or deliver material as assigned. + Operate and clean machines to cut, package, handle, label, etc. material such as cutoff saws, cable machine, foam packing machine, computerized labeling machine, etc. + Conduct physical inventory of materials and supplies and capitalized spare parts including reconciliation and adjustments of records and monitoring of shelf-life information as assigned. + Receive, unload, store, issue, monitor, record levels/amounts and keep accurate transaction records of bulk gasses, bottled gasses, chemicals and fuels, in accordance with prescribed procedures as assigned. + Pick and assemble material for future use by customers (reserved stock). + Operate Indus Passport according to limits of authorization and other office machines. + Perform duties associated with rotating Key Billet assignments, including but not limited to: Inventory, Pick/Reserve Stock, Shipping, and the sale of scrap or obsolete material, as assigned. + Maintain equipment, tools and work area in a clean, orderly and safe condition. **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:** Education: + High school graduate or GED. Work Experience: + Two (2) years as a Stores Attendant Jr and satisfactory work experience. + Through combination of education and/or experience, must have sufficient knowledge and skills to perform the duties and/or responsibilities listed above, and also have the physical capabilities to perform the required work. Required License/Certification: + Must possess the appropriate valid State driver's license. **OTHER REQUIREMENTS:** + Physical demand level is Heavy (occasionally having to lift, carry, push, pull, or exert between 50 - 100 lbs. of force). + Thorough working knowledge of all Stores procedures and plant instructions as they apply to regular and nuclear plant Stores job responsibilities. + Satisfactory completion of prescribed study and training programs; demonstrated ability to plan and direct work of others and keep neat, concise and accurate records. + Must be able to safely lift up to 70 pounds. + Must have mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills. + Demonstrate ability to plan and keep neat, concise and accurate records. + Ability to write legibly and record accurately. + Must understand and perform basic math functions. + Must be able to work independently and possess good communication skills. Performance of duties may involve work in hazardous areas and possible radiation exposure within the limits prescribed by the NRC. Education, experience, licensing & certification requirements of this position conform to ANSI N18.1 - 171 and ANSI/ANS-3.1-1993. **Must establish & maintain a permanent residence within a 45-minute safe drive time to the D.C.
