Strategic Account Manager, International

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales of the Omnicell consumables portfolio, via strategic accounts. The candidate will be responsible for defining the Omnicell distribution network across the UK and abroad. The candidate should understand where there may be a requirement to promote other solutions within the Omnicell portfolio, such as our pharmacy automation solutions. 

As much as this is a sales role, a key requirement is for you to understand pharmacy and their challenges and pain points, as well as have an appreciation of the end-to-end pharmacy processes/workflow, in order to design creative solutions using Omnicell suite of automation solutions to deliver measurable outcomes; such as freeing up staff time, enhanced patient safety, improved operational efficiency, ability to deliver more clinical services to increase revenue, profitability and deliver growth. 

You will need to be able to build, nurture and develop long-term client relationships to support the wider long-term business plan and support our multi-platform sales approach. You will be responsible for working closely with all key pharmacy stakeholders. 

There is often a long lead time in the sales process, and you need to be a dedicated, driven person that is prepared to put in the groundwork and steer a sale from initial interest through to design and scoping, trials, the tender process, implementation and ongoing account management.

Essential Functions:

Identifying and generating leads and managing the network of direct and indirect customers and potential customers in your territory Achieving sales targets Meeting & presenting to key pharmacy and distribution stakeholders at all levels  Gather marketing insights and trends (UK and abroad) Surveying retail pharmacy to understand their current workflow and processes Designing and scoping automation solutions Preparing detailed and complex sales proposals Responding to tenders Attending pharmacy conferences, trade shows and exhibitions Administering the CRM system, keeping it updated with current details, sales status and actions for each of your clients and target groups

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Practical problem-solving personality Strategic thinker Complex problem solver Ability to achieve sales from both new customers and existing customers Understand retail pharmacy challenges Have a basic understanding of automation solutions from a functional and technical perspective and how they integrate with pharmacy management systems and processes

Able to draw out of retail pharmacy staff their current issues Able to influence retail pharmacy positively, to engage with automation Able to generate sales leads and close sales Able to interpret intelligently what they are told by retail pharmacy staff Able to communicate concisely 

Relationship Skills:

Establish strong business relationships with identified key customer groups to ensure commercial objectives are met as per plan. Maintains and expands customer base by building and maintaining rapport with key customers and identifying new customer opportunities. Able to work collaboratively with Omnicell cross functional teams Ensure adherence to all Omnicell company policies and procedures and supporting our core values. Developing a customer account plan to achieve sales objectives, accurate forecasting, and ongoing account management. Adopts the Omnicell sales approach of outcome-based selling and can provide recommendations for solutions accordingly to meet the pharmacy business objectives and needs.  Tracking competitor activity and intelligence Able to manage sales campaigns, marketing leads and nurture leads from an Opportunity through to a Sale

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

Previous sales experience Proven track record in sales and territory management Excellent computer skills – MS Windows Operating Systems, MS Office, CRM Systems Hold a valid full UK driving license

The ideal candidate would have,

Be knowledgeable about pharmacy and/or consumable business,  Have a background in selling consumables ideally in direct and indirect network  Has a background of effectively managing a sales region to optimize results and achieve targets
