What you'll do here:

Under mentorship from the District Sales Manager, the Gale K12 Strategic Account Manager achieves financial targets by driving sales of K12 Gale products to top school partners in the Midwest. This HUNTER position is responsible for contacting targeted School Districts along with developing strategic partnerships within these key accounts.

Skills you will need here:Develop and maintain business relationships, territory strategy, and sales tactics that build the business and brand.Drive sales through strong sales discovery in order to prescribe Gale solutions to customer needsPrepare and deliver outstanding sales presentations, write proposals, and provide excellent service to customers, including school administrators, curriculum leaders, as well as district and school librariansRepresent Gale at key industry events such as regional, state and national educational conferences, exhibitions and trade shows.Expand our customer base by uncovering opportunities for new partnershipsStrengthen existing relationships and collaborations; analyze and report on partner initiatives, forecasting on strategic changesWork closely with the rest of the sales team and with other departments such as marketing, customer services, customer care, sales support, and product development by offering market feedback and intelligenceAlongside both internal and external partners, problem solve issues, communicate needs, and find opportunities to collaborate

Required Skills:Minimum of 8 years sales experience within the school market or equivalentDetailed and verifiable history of achieving new business goals, creating, and implementing sales strategies, improving sales through identifying customers’ needs, aligning products to those needs and closing sales.Outstanding CRM (Salesforce) skills to ensure accurate monthly territory forecastsAbility to collaborate across departments to drive consistency around organizational strategiesTalent for building effective working relationships with customers and colleagues, further illustrating the ability to influence decision makers by developing and maintaining an effective professional network.Strong organizational skills with an enthusiastic and self-motivated approachExceptional presentation and sales call preparation skillsFlexibility to adapt sales approach to suit the customer and product.Comfort with virtual selling and remote customer engagement (Telephone, Zoom, Teams).Availability to travel for key prospect meetings and, on an occasional basis, to attend conferences or critical customer events. (Travel requirements for this position can be up to 50%.)Proficient MS Office skills, experience with PowerBI, Salesforce,Knowledge of K12 core and supplemental curriculum a plus

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location.  Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
