Strategic Account Manager

The Strategic Account Manager should be an experienced sales professional with extensive sales background in various roles with a strong track record for managing and growing complex, sizable accounts.

Expectations:

Grow sales and win new customers with a targeted and aggressive market approach.Collaborate to create, maintain and/or execute a strategic growth plan.Establish quality relationships at all levels of key customers’ organizations.Provide in-depth consultative support relative to top line sales, problem resolution, training, and integration of customer strategic plan with Axalta strategic plan.Track regularly the necessary data to analyze performance.Set KPI goals for key customers.Coordinate periodic meetings to review the strategic account plan, their goals and the milestones.Continually evaluate results to optimize profitability while maintaining a long-term customer commitment.As customers or locations are added, lead the paint conversion effort and a risk-free product launch.Take ownership of business agreements with key customers.Facilitate and/or lead projects that address key customer future needs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree8+ years of industrial sales/Account ManagementCoatings, chemicals or manufacturing experience requiredExperience successfully developing new clients as well as managing and growing key, complex accountsAbility to travel >50% of the time, and the discipline to self-manage territory responsibilitiesExperience developing and presenting successful sales strategies, including development and review of financial data, industry analytics, and business plans

Preferred:

Experience selling liquid industrial wood coatingsDemonstrates effective written, oral communication, and presentation skillsEffectively uses collaborative approach to problem solvingHas well developed project management skills to be able to manage multiple projects for each of the customers they are assignedCompetent computer skills, proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPointDemonstrates and fosters teamwork with peers and other resources to meet customer needsPossesses self-discipline and maintains effective performance in unstructured and autonomous conditionsPresents oneself in professional manner throughout all levels of the organization
