Strategic Account Manager

Primary Objective of Job:

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for achieving their sales target by devising sales strategies to promote and sell our ICT solutions to a set of named strategic customers in both public and private sector.  They serve as the liaison between Digicel and our client to ensure our customers’ requirements are met and they will maintain good business relationships by means of trust and integrity, along with excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management.  

The position requires the role holder to understand our customers’ business needs and processes and to design solutions capable of resolving these needs.  The role holder will be seen as the technical authority, and knowledgeable on the suite of product offerings from Digicel Business Solutions.

Please note that this is not a Managerial role.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Meets their monthly sales quota from new and existing assigned customer base and provides accurate and timely sales forecasts.

Meet with customers and potential customers to gather information, understand business processes and develop an initial understanding of the solution requirement.

Able to demonstrate the use of consulting skills including: questioning, listening, ideas development, permission & rapport & influencing.

Liaise closely with Product Management, Account managers, Business Development managers, Project managers and Implementation managers.

Act as a technical design authority resource to both internal and external clients.

Delivering products sales, presales & hands-on technical trainings and technology demonstrations.

To develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Digicel ICT solutions portfolio.

To maintain a high level of awareness of both local and market trends that could support new business development.

Academic qualifications and experience required:

 

Degree in Business/Management or similar field

At least 3 years’ experience in ICT Sales or Telecoms.

A track record of high performance against quota.

Ability to demonstrate capability for solution based complex sales.

Extensive knowledge of cloud Services, Cybersecurity, voice and networking solutions.

Candidate must have own vehicle.

Salary Information:  This role is commission based (there is base salary and allowances included)
