Strategic Account Manager - NSW
**The Position** Reporting to the Health Systems Lead, and based in Sydney, the Strategic Account Manager role is an important role within strategic accounts team. As the NSW Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for leading account insights, customer analysis, strategy and engagement as well as execution at the strategic account level. You will work to foster strategic and mutually respected partnerships with key institutions, external stakeholders, state based public payers, heads of hospital pharmacy, key nursing staff and other strategic customers resulting in long-term ongoing opportunities that drive brand adoption. You will work cross-functionally with other key customer facing teams. With each customer and account, your partnerships will be based on co-created value to establish company and product brand loyalty by generating insights and positioning Boehringer Ingelheim as a partner of choice. An important part of your role will be to create, maintain, negotiate and execute Strategic Account plans based on a robust and precise understanding of account insights. This will include current contribution and influence, account drivers, barriers, key stakeholder maps and actionable account needs. Armed with these insights, you will work to account goals with desired measurable outcomes delivered with required resources, and with the cross functional support of the account team that you will lead. **Tasks & Responsibilities** + Anticipate the commercial market drivers and ensure the commercial insights are captured within the strategic account plans by working closely with the internal teams and external stakeholders + Analyze and assess the economics of accounts, and deliver opportunities to demonstrate our portfolio value to key account decision makers + Lead assigned, cross-functional account teams through regular and valued account team meetings to ensure deep insight delivery, cross-functional coordination and devolved responsibility of implementation as required + Create, maintain, negotiate and execute Veeva Strategic Account Plans to ensure achievement of account goals + Utilize the full capacity, experience, and knowledge of internal teams to co create innovative solutions for and with customers + Rationalize commercial opportunities to concentrate on the greatest return for available resources. + Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders and business management within Strategic Accounts + Ensure formulary listing and availability of BI products in Strategic and statewide accounts as required + Communicate and collaborate with relevant BI account management functions (Sales, Marketing, Medical, ComOps etc.) and work interdependently to ensure key customer experience is personalised and relevant + Through relationship building, provide data driven analysis/actionable insights and reports (where necessary, e.g. listing process, drug bidding schedule, reports on activities etc.) recommending appropriate solutions for Strategic Account Plan performance gaps and emerging opportunities during Business Reviews with Strategic Account Manager/cross functional team + Maintain/update correct & complete customer database/account profiling information (email address, other contact info) in Veeva + Active and regular monitoring of Account Sales and all relevant activity KPIs to track multi-channel customer interactions and their impact on account plan execution + Maximize productivity of Strategic Account Plans by utilizing ComOps tools like Veeva Account planning modules, reports and dashboards and Power BI + Develop and Exhibit Boehringer-Ingelheim Strategic Account Management Competencies **Requirements** + Bachelor’s or post graduate degree in business and/or equivalent is preferred. + 5-10 years working in a sales/business development/marketing role within a commercial healthcare organization. + Experience in account engagement and sales/KEY account management. + Strong Customer Partnership Management skills. + Proven ability to think strategically, prioritizes effectively and delivers high-impact results + Collaborative leadership skills to influence without authority and work effectively with senior leadership + Strong communication, presentation, active listening and negotiation skills. + Ability to take initiative and work independently and is comfortable with ambiguity + Solution-oriented, demonstrates quick analysis, thoughtful and ethical judgment, and rapid response on issues and tasks + A strong understanding and experience within the public hospital and state formulary environment will be highly regarded. + High level attention to detail **Why Boehringer Ingelheim?** Our workplace is a creative and dynamic place to be – with the future always on our minds.
