Strategic Alliance Manager

Job Description

Job Objective / Overview
The primary responsibility of the Alliance Manager is to ensure effective partner management and seamless execution on annual commercialization plan agreed with partners, in order to exceed performance targets and drive incremental sales / income growth for Korea.

Critical importance to the successful execution of this role is ability to collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders, build long term relationships and find win-win solutions.

Main Roles & Responsibilites
 

1. Drive performance
- Ensure that process and systems are functioning effectively to track and identify any gap of partner
performance(i.e. quarterly steering committee meeting, monthly KPI meeting with partners)
- Develop & update useful templates/tools target settging & performance tracking (i.e. annual compliance plan template), and provide them to business units with practical guidance / advices
- Ensure partners are provided with the right resources and support including sales and promotional materials
- Monitor inventory levels,manage monthly forecasting process and supply chain for outsourced products to ensure steady and consistent supply to market


2. Contract management & strengthen partnership
- Ensure that partnership practices are in full alignment with contract clauses and obligation
- All the transactions with partners(e.g. margin) are timely and accurately executed
- Execute contract amendment based on business needs, with legal consult
- Assess the capabilities, strengths & weaknesses of alliance partners to ensure strong fit between our company needs and partner capabilities
- Identify opportunities for potential business between our company and partner companies and develop & suggest best cooperation model on a regular basis.
- Work closely with Business Development to drive contract negotiations with partners; Support decision-makers of deal extension / termination related issues in a timely manner
 

3. Compliance enhancement
- Provide partners with most updated and appropriate guidance, company policy and SOP of our company
- Monitor compliance related issues and ensure code of conducts/SOP of two parties are aligned in cooperation with compliance, finance and other relevant teams
- Ensure partners uphold the highest business and ethical standards consistent with our companies' core values
- Work with partners to ensure our companies assets are optimally resourced and represented with customers
 

4. Leadership
- Demonstrate leadership in leading meetings with partner and internal cross-functional meeting
- Act as key interface between partners and internal our compan Korea organizations


Required Competencies/Qualifcations

- Track record in effectively managing external relationships / partnerships
- Strong problem solving and stretegic thinking
- Understanding and proficient management of contract and legal documents
- Excellent communication skills , proficiency in both written and verbal business English
- Experience of partnership and deal project managemen are preferred- Minimum 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Working experience in Marketing and Business Development is preferred
