The Strategic Brand Management Strategist plays a critical role in understanding strategies and priorities for CLC’s clients as it relates to their licensing program, soliciting and evaluating proposals, while overlaying analyzed data and insights to execute client decisions for optimal growth of their programs. This role requires a high level of detail as it relates to evaluating data while also demanding strong organizational output, thorough written communication, and clear verbal communication skills. The Strategist works closely with internal teams to build and maintain systems for optimal administration of complex programs, understand licensee capabilities and institutional goals, develop and implement contracts, and support operational excellence.Responsibilities:Directly oversee institutional territories (Midwest, Southwest, West) for Strategic Brand Management programsDaily communication with CLC’s clients and decision makers – the licensing directors -for assigned territory Primary point of contact for all Strategic Brand Management program licensees Provide quarterly SBM territory overview to Partnerships department Lead monthly ADL review calls with PAM licensee partnersOversee SBM Non-Apparel Fan Goods exclusive dealsCollaborate with CLC’s Partnerships division to understand institutional objectives and priorities to provide insight and proposed solutions through engagement and activation of strategic programsAnalyze CLC Insights data and provide reports to internal and external stakeholders Collaborate with CLC’s Communications department to develop presentation decks and external correspondenceManage license request workflow in Brand Manager 360Interface internally with the Business Development Apparel department and Licensing department to provide recommendations and guidance as to how requests may be processed given upcoming or current program restrictionsUnderstanding of production cycles and timelines for apparel and hardgoodsOversight of SBM deal creation and contract sending Timeline management of contract expirations, contract renewals and RFP processes to ensure deadlines are metInterface internally to understand the retail landscape, market opportunities and challenges, and licensee capabilities to provide needed recommendations on guarantees and special requests from licensees Data analysis of sales, royalties, and royalty rates to develop and send shortfall invoices for all impacted licensees (bi-annual basis)Attend weekly systems meeting and provide insight and potential solutions for systems improvements to increase productivity and efficiency of all who utilize the systemsAnalyze historical data and current market information to establish annual minimum guarantees for all SBM programs and handle follow up negotiations with licensee and institutionsSupport SBM Director with primary apparel model year in review report and recap reviews with institution and PAM partnersReview quarterly sales, royalty data, and analytical reports to ensure accuracy prior to distributing to respective PAM partnersPresent SBM program renewal reports to licensing director Engage with Learfield’s Legal Department to relay any requested adjustments and edits to SBM addenda and contractsRequirements:2+ years of customer service experienceStrong organizational skillsStrong data and financial literacyProficient knowledge of MS Office SuiteAbility to multi-taskOvertime required occasionally
