As the Business Leader, you will report to the Digital Insights Business Value Stream Leader, and be part of the leadership team in the Value Stream. You will be responsible for defining the commercial approach, strategies and operations to establish a profitable digitally focused business across all customer areas of Healthcare Insights Core Lab, Molecular, Pathology Lab and Near Patient Care in Asia Pacific. You will be key in shaping the development and execution of Roche’s strategies of developing a digital healthcare ecosystem and marketplace to build a successful digital insights business, in partnership with key stakeholders in APAC and Global teams. As a leader in the organization, you will have the responsibility as the APAC interface for digital Healthcare Insights solutions targeted to enable better healthcare decisions. You will build and manage a high performance team that will be world class in the area of commercialization for digital Healthcare Insights solutions.
The Opportunity
Be the business champion of the digital solutions portfolio across multiple customer areas in Roche Diagnostics, targeted to enable confident clinical decisions and impact healthcare in APAC. You will play a key role in Roche’s ambitions of establishing a digital healthcare ecosystem marketplace and building a profitable digital insights business in APAC.
Formulate strategic business plans by partnering with teams across APAC, and the affiliates to understand customer needs, competitive landscape & market dynamics, define Roche’s value propositions across the Asia Pacific markets and drive execution of strategic business proposals. Interact with and influence senior management, appropriately challenge with ideas and questions and defend the business proposals.
Lead all commercialization activities and deliver outcomes for digital insights business in APAC by being a partner for the affiliates to develop business frameworks & digital sales processes to scale digital solutions in APAC, building a holistic view of the regional sales opportunities & partner the affiliates to design, architect, secure & deliver revenue generating deals, implement and maintain a disciplined sales process designed to achieve specific sales objectives.
Act as the conduit back to Global Business Areas for on-market product requirements, manage and prioritize requirements for assigned business areas for RIS/RDS as well as support customer-centric product development across the organization by being the voice of the customer and ensuring customer feedback and needs are shared with the product team.
In collaboration with other VS & affiliates, explore market opportunities for digital solutions in new markets/ disease areas and define new business models to strengthen Roche’s leadership in the customer areas in APAC.
Establish deep understanding of the market needs to develop & build a holistic end-to-end solution, comprising of Roche & non-Roche solutions, both digital and core products, to address customers’ needs in APAC, in collaboration with other VS & affiliates.
Work with Global/ APAC Partnering, if appropriate, to address gaps in Roche portfolio and work with cross-functional team to build up the digital healthcare ecosystem and marketplace and identify and explore opportunities, and define the business models with partners to complement our existing ecosystems within the region
Champion innovation in the commercialization function for APAC; find ways to engage top talent to explore/ establish new approaches that drive most value to our teams and products
Who you are
You should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Biomedical Sciences, advanced degree (Masters, Medical Degree or Ph.D) with at least 8 - 12 years of related experience in IVD or pharmaceutical industry, preferably in sales and/or marketing; consultancy experience will be an added advantage.
You should be able to lead and inspire your team, build an inclusive environment and work with different individual personalities
You should be able to travel internationally up to 50% is expected for this role.
