Step into the role of Strategic Buyer at Danfoss Power Solution's Global Procurement & Supply Chain Organisation in Controls Division and join us on an exciting journey. Job Responsibilities

As Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for a range of strategic procurement activities to ensure supplier performance and development on both short and long-term basis, as you drive the procurement agenda in a global matrix organization. In doing so, you will work across several global functions and serve as the vital link between Supply Chain and external suppliers. Your key responsibilities will be to:

 

• Lead supplier relationships to drive capacity management discussions, delivery accountability and cost reductions execution.

• Supplier responsible for a number of supplier including handling of contract, prices, performance • Coordinate ramp up and ramp down activities for new and continuous improvement project • Complete the Logistic Service Level Agreements with selected suppliers.

• Facilitate supplier workshops to improve supplier performance and solve problems. • Coordinate Change management process for changes and new projects including worksheets, and purchase orders.

• Support and sometimes lead cost reduction and other sourcing projects that improve cost, quality and delivery from suppliers.

Background & Skills

There is more than one way into this position, besides your relevant educational background as Bachelor’s degree and/or certificate within Engineering, you have experience within logistics, business administration and supply chain or you are a newly graduate with the right passion and mind-set you are encouraged to apply as our new Strategic Buyer. Other key competencies in this role include:

•    Experience within SCM and/or solid theoretical knowledge within the field.

•    Energetic and able to find compromises between multiple and sometimes conflicting interests.  

•    Strategic mindset and the drive to implement in a global matrix organisation.

•    Excellent problem solver with analytical and communication skills.  

•    Ability to work under pressure and run crisis management when shortages appear

 

Personally, you possess curiosity and a determined motivation that drives you forward towards success. You are a skilled communicator and able to interact with people both inside and outside of the organisation. Last, but not least you are fluent in English, both in writing and in speech. Danish will be an advantage.
