**Position Overview**
Skytower Aviation Services Inc. is seeking a **highly experienced and aggressive Strategic Buyer** to drive procurement initiatives and investment strategies within the **aftermarket aerospace sector** . This **on-site** role requires a **minimum of 10 years** in **aerospace or commercial aviation supply chain management** , with a strong preference for experience in **trading rotable aircraft components** . The ideal candidate is an **expert negotiator** with a **data-driven, analytical mindset** who thrives in high-stakes, fast-paced procurement environments. This individual must possess a **deep understanding of supply**
**and demand dynamics, market intelligence, and financial analysis** to support
strategic investment decisions.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ **Procurement & Negotiation:**
+ Execute **high-value, strategic purchases** of aftermarket rotable components.
+ Take an **aggressive yet calculated** approach to market negotiations, maximizing value at the point of procurement.
+ Develop and execute **cost-effective purchasing strategies** based on demand forecasting and commercial valuations.
+ **Market Analysis & Forecasting:**
+ Conduct **market intelligence research** to anticipate shifts in **supply, demand, and pricing trends** .
+ Utilize **data-driven forecasting** to guide procurement decisions and mitigate supply chain risks.
+ Maintain **real-time insight** into component availability, industry pricing trends, and emerging supplier opportunities.
+ **Supplier & Relationship Management:**
+ Establish, strengthen, and **maintain key supplier relationships** to secure competitive pricing and supply chain stability.
+ Leverage charisma and strategic rapport-building skills to **cultivate partnerships** with suppliers, OEMs, and traders.
+ Manage supplier performance, contracts, and **long-term procurement agreements** .
+ **Strategic Investment & Financial Acumen:**
+ Align purchasing decisions with **company investment strategies** to maximize ROI.
+ Analyze procurement costs, **cash flow implications, and profit potential** for inventory investments.
+ Work closely with **executive leadership** to align procurement strategies with Skytower’s financial and growth objectives.
+ **Industry Engagement & Travel:**
+ Represent Skytower Aviation at **industry trade shows, conferences, and supplier meetings** .
+ Stay actively involved in the **aviation aftermarket community** to identify new opportunities and maintain industry connections.
+ Travel as required to **negotiate deals, visit suppliers, and attend networking events** .
**Qualifications & Requirements**
+ **10+ years of experience** in **aerospace or commercial aviation supply chain management** .
+ Extensive experience in **aftermarket rotable component trading** preferred.
+ **Proven track record of aggressive and successful negotiations** in high-value aviation transactions.
+ **Strong analytical skills** , with the ability to interpret **market trends, financials, and procurement data** .
+ High confidence, charisma, and **exceptional relationship-building skills** .
+ Ability to **think strategically** and align procurement decisions with company growth and investment plans.
+ **Strong financial acumen** , understanding **investment models, cost structures, and profitability analysis** .
+ **Willingness and ability to travel** frequently to trade shows, supplier meetings, and industry events.
+ Highly self-motivated with the ability to **operate in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment** .
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.50 - $31.25/hr.
