Strategic Comms Manager
Introduction to the job

The ASML Communications team helps ASML to engage with its key audiences to build trust. We are a global team with colleagues on three continents, in all of ASML’s major locations. We bring our experience and expertise to bear to enable the company to operate, to grow and to adapt; to strengthen ASML’s reputation; and to empower more of our leaders to communicate. For the Product & Customer Communications team, one of four strategic business communications teams, we seek an experienced strategic communications manager.

Role and responsibilities

Our strategic business communications teams are at the interface between ASML’s divisions and the Communications team. We are sparring partners to business leaders and build business understanding that informs the priorities and initiatives of the Communications function and its day-to-day work. We ensure that ASML speaks with one voice on our core themes. We guide and inspire the communications programs and campaigns that enhance the company’s reputation. Finally, we support our business leaders to be the most effective communicators that they can be.

In this role, you will primarily work with the Customer Support organization. You’ll advise business leaders (notably members of the CS leadership team) as well as projects and initiatives on matters big and small, and be a resource to your colleagues in the Communications team on business understanding, context and contacts. Or you maybe you’ll join a cross-functional team to define, plan and drive a campaign that strengthens our reputation as an exceptional workplace. Maybe you will help to bring our people strategy to life by finding compelling stories of how ASML delivers on its people promise. Whatever it is that you do, you will build relationships, apply business understanding, outcomes focus and creativity, be a communications coach and drive for communications that is clear and on point and tailored to the audience.

Communications at ASML, and certainly in the strategic business communications teams, takes you deeper into the business content than a communications job elsewhere might. The role will be focused on the Customer Support sector of ASML and an affinity with and an interest in our products is a must. We expect the successful candidate to develop over time and also take on projects in the product space.

Education and experience

10+ years of relevant experience in internal and/or corporate communications

Bachelor education in a relevant field

Advanced English skills (C1 or higher)

Other information

You will join the Product & Customer Communications team and report to the Head of Product & Customer Communications. It is a small team (five people, plus the successful candidate) that holds the relationships with ASML’s Product and Sales organizations (Customer Support is the largest portion of the Sales organization).
