Strategic Communication Outreach and Education-Internal Communications Intern

The Internal Communication intern will gain relevant experience in employee communications and channels, content strategy, and analytics in a health care setting. During the internship, the selected student will assist in researching best practices for internal content governance, developing strategies for content integration across multiple internal channels, updating and creating pages on the St. Jude intranet, creating slides for our digital signage network, and helping execute change management plans. The intern will have exposure to a variety of internal groups including clinical, research and other administrative areas Qualifications Working toward an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in media, communications, journalism, digital media, marketing, public relations, English or similar field with a 3.0 GPA or above. Candidates must be entering sophomore, junior or senior year to be considered. Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and Excel Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills Able to manage priorities and work autonomously as appropriate Proven ability to meet deadlines Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Ability to influence and engage a wide range of workgroups Maintains confidentiality Responsibilities Developing content and webpages in SharePoint as needed for the St. Jude intranet Creating slides in content experience builder as needed for St. Jude digital signage network Researching channel best practices and St. Jude audiences for targeted communication Identifying content gaps within existing content and internal channels Attending cross-functional meetings to better understand departmental and institutional needs and goals Brainstorming, participating in decision-making, researching, and presenting project information to various teams Assisting in interviewing employees through focus groups and monitoring and analyzing beta tests Deadline to Submit Cover Letter and Resume Applications are now open.
