The Strategic Communications Lead is responsible for developing and executing strategic internal and external communications deliverables, partnering with key stakeholders, including executive management, as well as HR to enhance employee engagement and information flow for the Joint Replacement Division at Stryker. This role designs and oversees the distribution of internal materials across multiple channels; including newsletters, intranet, emails, and employee meetings, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational goals. Key responsibilities include establishing global communication standards, including managing translation processes, and leading change management communications for recent acquisitions.
This is a hybrid role based in Mahwah, NJ. There is an expectation of approximately once per week to work from the Mahwah, NJ office. In this position, you will be required to travel 30%(domestic and international). .

Builds a network of customers and/or sales and marketing leaders to gain customer insight used to shape messaging.
Works with leadership to determine messaging strategy
Collaboratively work with corporate/commercial/regional communications leads to build communications capabilities and advance opportunities that impact business and company goals. Provide counsel to these leaders.
Strategic communicator
Uses strategic planning to enable organizational change. Adopts divisional and corporate change management communications best practices.
Aids development of communication strategies to enable divisional change.
Develops and refines communications best practices with businesses, including communications strategies, plans and related toolkits to drive greater consistency and effectiveness.
Partners to execute strategic communications for M&A (mergers and acquisitions) activities. Includes but is not limited to announcement and integration.
Self-starter
Contributes to a climate that cultivates imagination, new ideas, and experimentation.
Champions new initiatives within and beyond scope of position.
Monitors the industry for creative ideas and solutions that can be used internally.

Advocate for brand guideline implementation and participate in discussions to further our brand

Maintains and optimizes internal channels and ensure connectivity to rest of the company.
Ensure communications are in alignment with the business and company’s strategies, goals, objectives and brand, and ensure review and approvals are in accordance with current processes and procedures.
Support the communications strategy for industry association meetings and other trade events.
What you will need:
Required
Bachelor's degree required
4+ years of work experience
Preferred
Experience in writing and editing content
Experience in internal communications or corporate communications
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in large organizations
Experience in public speaking and presenting to large, diverse, and executive audiences
Experience in digital & multi-channel communications
Background in acquisitions and integrations a plus
French language proficiency preferred
