Strategic Communications Manager
Role Overview: The Strategic Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that align with LARC objectives and the broader strategic goals of ADM. This position is integral in fostering a culture of integrity, managing the company’s reputation, and promoting transparency both within LARC and across the global organization.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Communications Development: Create, deploy, and manage robust communications that enhance employee and partner awareness of key initiatives, company priorities, and the value provided by the department, including performance metrics and scorecards.Culture of Integrity: Develop and implement a strategic communications program that promotes a culture of integrity and transparency, addressing legal and regulatory developments, policies, personnel changes, and other key initiatives.Global Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across the global organization to ensure messaging aligns with ADM’s values and regulatory requirements. Tailor communications to engage various stakeholders, including employees, senior management, and external partners.Training and Continuous Improvement: Design training and communication plans while continuously evaluating and refining strategies for improved effectiveness and engagement.Monitoring and Reporting: Stay informed on industry developments, LARC priorities, and ADM strategy. Support periodic reporting for Senior Management and the Board of Directors.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, preferably within a global organization.Skills: Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive messages for diverse audiences. Familiarity with communication tools, content management systems, and visualization platforms.Competencies: High ethical standards, integrity, decision-making skills, and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, accessible language.Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in business software such as Microsoft Office and content management tools.Location: This is a hybrid position with occasional visits to ADM’s Global Headquarters in Chicago IL, as well as travel to other facilities as required.
