Snowflake is experiencing exponential growth, and we are expanding our Strategic Data Cloud Product Principal Team.   As a Principal you will play a lead role in acquiring new partners that expand and enhance Snowflakes ecosystem of Application , Data and Solution Providers. 

One of the unique benefits of Snowflake’s architecture is the ability to securely share data, applications and solutions  with other Snowflake accounts without creating a copy of the data. The Snowflake Data Cloud builds on our Secure Data Sharing functionality to be the ‘App Store for Data enabling Providers and Consumers to publish/discover and monetize data, applications and solutions. Providers to the Snowflake Marketplace use Data Sharing as the means to deliver their data or service, replacing traditional delivery methods such as files and APIs. Data Sharing and the Marketplace play a key strategic role in our Data Cloud vision and drive the network effect of the Data Cloud!

Our Data Cloud Products Team is seeking a Business Development professional with specific experience in data commercialization operations, strategy, and GTM to help in the efforts to build out Snowflakes Public Data Business.  As part of the Strategic Data Cloud Product  team you will have a unique opportunity to work  as part of a team that is building out a vital product for Snowflake’s Data Cloud vision.  In this role, you will strategically engage with customers  in order to build and continue the growth of Snowflake’s Public Data Business. 

We are looking for an individual who understands the data and applications partner ecosystem and how to grow and manage content partnerships. In addition to recruiting enabling customers, you will be an important guide in the creation of the Go-to-Market for customers.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL GET TO:

Create and execute specific plans focused on acquiring new public data customers 

Engage with existing public data customers in order to contribute to the product roadmap

Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Product

Develop & manage a portfolio of high performing customers

Help with training, and onboarding of new customers

ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:

7-10 years of industry experience with direct sales, closing, partnership/alliances or business development 

Prior background in data businesses

Strong verbal and executive presentation skills

Strong business and financial acumen

Proven self-starter with a high degree of initiative

The ability to measure and report on the success of your business

Proven history of working in a matrix environment

A Bachelor’s Degree (MBA preferred)

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role: The estimated base salary range for this role is $137,000 - $191,800.Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
