Summary You will serve as a STRATEGIC ENGAGEMENTS & GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS MANAGER within HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND. Responsibilities You will direct the joint coordination of engagement and outreach programs executed by the headquarters, Service Components, and OSD, including but not limited to upwards of 100 activities a year. You will act as the senior advisor for the command in the oversight and management of strategic engagement and outreach program in Hawaii. You will manage, facilitate, and respond to information requests from Congress, state legislatures and external stakeholders, often requiring detailed explanations You will develop, manage, and evaluate the Command Hawaii Strategic Outreach/Engagement plan and program. You will coordinate with USINDOPACOM Legislative Affairs to develop and propose legislative and appropriation suggestions in support of strategic engagement requirements and support resources. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: Directing a strategic engagement team to cultivate and maintain key relationships between an organization and numerous stakeholders, including Government officials; 2. Managing efforts to develop, coordinate, implement, maintain, and evaluate community, governmental, and public outreach activities and strategic engagement and outreach missions, programs and objectives; Utilizing expert knowledge of planning, control, and evaluation methods for organization resources, programs, policies, and operations, to include work with contractors; Managing the integration of strategic communications and relations within an organization.
