Summary
The Strategic Event Content Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the content direction and strategy for our events. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of event content trends, audience preferences, and industry best practices with exceptional storytelling and communication skills. Additionally, you will offer creative solutions on repurposing this content in various ways with our brand, demand gen, and product marketing teams. In this role you will be tasked with collaborating with the Executive team, product marketing, sales, brand, and demand gen to create compelling event narratives that drive engagement, educate audiences, and support business objectives with a cohesive content strategy that delivers thought-provoking sessions to our attendees.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive content strategies for events, ensuring alignment with business objectives and audience needs. Manage and own content workstreams from end to end at all corporate events Manage and own ancillary event content workstreams such as workshops. Collaborate with key stakeholders in Product Marketing, Brand, and Content to determine key themes and talk tracks for our flagship events Splash and Splash EMEA. Establish key performance indicators and goals including but not limited to audience engagement, prospect pipeline acceleration, existing customer platform growth and customer retention to measure the success of content in achieving business outcomes. Proactively analyze previous attendee data, industry trends, and competitive research to identify content focus areas for future events. Write, edit, and refine content to ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment with brand voice and tone. Partner with speakers and subject matter experts to craft compelling narratives and engaging visuals. Partner with marketing teams to integrate event content into broader campaigns, including social media, email, and digital promotions. Work closely with sales to create content that supports prospect and existing customer lead generation, nurturing, and closing. Collaborate with product teams to showcase innovations and thought leadership effectively. Conduct post-event analysis to identify areas for improvement and inform future content strategies.Required Education and Experience
5+ years of experience in working in event planning, preferably in the B2B space as well as an understanding of campaign management, content, programming and education management and best practices. Demonstrated ability to foster cross-functional collaboration and alignment with regional teams, stakeholders, and agency partners. Familiarity with identifying and implementing best practices, innovations, and emerging trends in event marketing and incorporate them into both a short-term and long-term strategic plan. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience collaborating with cross functional teams, and across multiple locations, geographies and time zones. Experience in managing global stakeholders and vendor partnerships.Preferred Education and Experience
Attention to detail and a deep understanding of event marketing best practices. Leading, creating, and presenting a long-term vision, and with a supporting strategy and execution plan to achieve it. Equipped with a business focus and delivery mindset that enables engagement at the executive level. Energy, flexibility, and drive to create real and measurable business results. Collaborative team player with a positive attitude. Passion for the role and the company's mission. Proven project management skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-regional projects concurrently. Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative and cross-functional team setting.
