ATS Company: ATS Corporation Requisition ID: 13334 Location: Bangalore, KA, IN Date: Oct 3, 2024 Strategic Global Travel Specialist Job Summary As a Strategic Global Travel Specialist reporting to the Indirect Global Category Manager, you will manage the company’s travel program, focusing on policy implementation, supplier negotiations, and develop a global travel strategy. This role supports strategic initiatives to optimize travel spend and enhance the travel program. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, a strategic mindset, and a thorough understanding of travel management best practices Job Description Supplier Management: + In collaboration with the Global Supply Chain function, negotiate favorable rates and terms with airlines, hotels, and car rental companies to achieve cost savings and enhance travel efficiency. + Manage relationships with travel vendors and suppliers, seeking opportunities for partnership and collaboration. + Handle contract renewals and ensure compliance with agreed terms. Strategic Initiatives: + Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize travel processes and procedures. + Evaluate travel booking platforms and systems, recommending enhancements or alternatives to streamline operations. + Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Reporting and Analysis: + Monitor and analyze travel expenses, identifying opportunities for cost reduction. + Prepare and present reports on travel expenses, savings achieved, and travel program performance to management. + Generate reports on travel spend, compliance, and performance metrics for review by management. Collaboration: + Coordinate with the Travel Analyst and travel arrangers to ensure seamless travel operations. + Provide guidance and support to employees regarding travel policies and procedures. Required Skills + Proven experience as a Travel Specialist, Travel Manager, or similar role with a focus on negotiation and cost management. + Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost reductions and favorable terms with travel vendors. + Thorough understanding of travel booking platforms and systems, as well as travel industry trends and best practices. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners. + Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, with attention to detail and accuracy. + Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with travel management software. Qualifications & Experience + Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field. + Certification in Travel Management or similar credentials. + Experience in corporate travel management or a related field within a large organization. + Knowledge of international travel regulations, visa requirements, and global travel logistics + Minimum 5 years of experience related to travel management and procurement About ATS ATS is an industry-leading automation solutions provider to many of the world’s most successful companies.
