The Franklin Innovative Research, Strategies and Technology (FIRST) group brings together Franklin Templeton’s teams focused on innovation initiatives, allowing for new synergies to emerge, linking our actions to our thought leadership/research, & offering a central point from which to coordinate broader firm activities & partner engagement.
Within this group, we are seeking a dynamic and proactive Strategic Initiatives Administrative Specialist to support our executive team in a fast-paced and innovative environment. The ideal candidate will not only excel in traditional administrative tasks but will also leverage cutting-edge AI tools and technology to enhance productivity and streamline operations.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Strategic Initiatives Administrative Specialist?Calendar Management: Organize and maintain executive calendars, schedule meetings, and ensure optimal time management. Anticipate scheduling conflicts and proactively find solutions to ensure seamless coordination.
Travel Coordination: Handle all aspects of travel arrangements, including booking flights, accommodations, and ground transportation. Prepare detailed itineraries and provide travel support throughout the trip.
Events Management: Assist in planning and executing speaking events, conferences, and corporate functions, ensuring all logistical elements are managed efficiently. Leverage AI tools to facilitate participant engagement and event feedback.
Internal Communications: Coordinate communication strategies within the organization, ensuring timely dissemination of information. Utilize AI-driven productivity and communication tools to streamline information flow and enhance collaboration.
Project Management: Assist with various projects as needed, track progress, and provide updates to the executive team. Utilize project management tools to maintain timelines and ensure project goals are met effectively.
Research and Reporting: Conduct research and compile reports on relevant industry trends, competitive analysis, and insights to support executive decision-making. Present findings in a clear and concise manner to facilitate informed discussions.
What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?Proven experience in a high-level administrative, project coordination or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in calendar management and travel booking, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Familiarity with AI tools and software applications that enhance productivity and communication (e.g., project management tools, presentation design software).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Power BI, Tableau, SQL a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with executives and stakeholders.
Strong problem solver with the ability to anticipate needs and manage competing priorities.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Compensation Range: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary — designed to support their well-being and recognize their time, talents, and results. Along with base compensation, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, a 401(k) plan with a generous match, and recognition rewards. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes a range of competitive healthcare options, insurance, and disability benefits, employee stock investment program, learning resources, career development programs, reimbursement for certain education expenses, paid time off (vacation / holidays / sick / leave / parental & caregiving leave / bereavement / volunteering / floating holidays) and a motivational wellbeing program. We expect the annual salary for this position to range between $74,900 - $102,100, depending on location and level of relevant experience, plus discretionary bonus.
