Strategic Initiatives Program Manager

The School of Public Health (SPH) is seeking a Strategic Initiatives Program Manager to support the Dean and the school’s academic and administrative leadership. This position serves as a senior advisor to the Dean, focusing on strategic planning, execution, and outcomes. The role involves collaborating closely with the Dean to drive the school’s vision, ensuring alignment across initiatives, and managing key relationships that impact the school’s success.

Key responsibilities include:

Collaborating with the Dean to implement and communicate the strategic vision for the school.Providing strategic guidance on processes, structure, and the alignment of school priorities.Managing and organizing grants, publications, and proposals while ensuring adherence to timelines and submission guidelines.Conducting literature reviews, analyzing qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, and synthesizing findings for scientific presentations and proposals.Monitoring emerging public health trends and updating the Dean and relevant stakeholders.Designing and editing PowerPoint presentations in line with University communication standards.Demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to adapt language for both research and community-facing content.

Qualifications:

Master’s in Public Health (MPH) required; PhD preferred.Strong organizational, project management, and strategic planning skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience with grant management, research, and creating content for proposals and publications.Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Prior experience supporting senior administrators in higher education is preferred but not required.

Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills, maintain confidentiality, and display professional and tactful behavior at all times. Must be able to use a computer and Microsoft Office suite programs. Work is frequently conducted by email, telephone, in-person, or video communication technology (Zoom, Teams, etc). Must be able to effectively communicate electronically and in person.
