Strategic Insurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-reliant professional to support the continued growth and development of our CRB (Corporate Risk and Broking) business in Ireland. This role encompasses two core objectives: driving strategic growth initiatives and managing relationships with our key carrier partners. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring our business remains competitive, innovative, and aligned with both local and global market trends.

Two Core Objectives

1. Strategic Growth Initiatives

Design and Implementation: Collaborate with the CRB leadership team to design and execute strategic growth initiatives, including product development, fee initiatives, and carrier placement implementation strategies.
  Market Insights: Analyse trends across Europe and within WTW globally to identify opportunities for local implementation and evaluate market developments to ensure our activities align with emerging opportunities and threats.
  Innovation: Stay abreast of competitive positioning in the market while ensuring innovative solutions and initiatives are at the forefront of our activities to meet evolving client needs.
  Collaboration:  Work across teams to bring global and regional initiatives into the local market, tailoring them to suit Ireland’s unique environment.

2. Carrier Management

Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for our most significant strategic carrier partners operating in Ireland and develop and nurture successful, professional relationships with key insurers, ensuring mutual value and alignment of goals.
  Service Delivery: Oversee the delivery of services and solutions to our strategic partners, ensuring high-quality and timely execution.
  Market Identification: Identify and explore opportunities in new markets to support business growth and collaborate with carriers to create innovative products and solutions that enhance our market offerings.
  Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess the performance of carrier relationships and initiatives and provide insights and recommendations to enhance partnerships and drive growth.

As part of the team you will:

Ownership of the co-ordination and implementation of key strategic initiatives and driving new activity to support the growth and development of our CRB business. Liaising with WTW European colleagues to understand best practice both internally and externally and how we can implement this approach locally. Ensure the delivery of contractually committed services to carries that are contained in our Carrier Services Agreements, whilst coordinating and collaborating with our central and European team. Working closely with Head of Strategic Initiatives across all business-critical projects. Ambitious and driven to develop their career in the insurance profession.Naturally inquisitive and highly analytical with an ability to work through problems both independently and in a team setting.Self-starter, thinks around problems, creative and resourceful, able to prioritise and work under pressure.A “thinker” and a “doer” with a drive to make things happen.People skills – upward and direct management, persuasion, negotiation and diplomacy.A desire to learn, be pragmatic and flexible.Completion of CIP preferable with a desire to continue further professional qualifications.
