Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and strategic Inventory Planner to join the Solutions & Growth Supply Chain Planning team. As a Strategic Inventory Planner, you will play a critical role supporting business critical supply planning and inventory management strategies. In addition, this role helps scope related initiatives by identifying and acting on opportunities to enhance inventory efficiency, drive operational performance and an improved Cash Conversion Cycle. You will collaborate closely with supply planners, cross-functional teams and organization leaders to optimize inventory management, develop actionable insights, and drive action plans while effectively communicating the business value of your initiatives. Overall, you will demonstrate a high level of business acumen and technical expertise in business planning, operational management and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Optimization:Assess and recommend strategies for optimizing inventory levels to maintain service level targets, while balancing inventory levels and cost.Work collaboratively across all functions to implement inventory optimization strategies.Conduct complex scenario analyses to identify insights and recommendations in support of end-to-end decision-making processes.Develops contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions and avoid excess or aged inventory.Forecasting and Financial Modeling:Develop and maintain analytical tools and models to analyze inventory performance trends, drive business decisions and coach others on model development.Utilize data-driven insights to drive operational initiatives tying to our financial targets.Continuously monitor and refine models to ensure reliability and relevance while driving automation for predictive analytics.Make financial assessments on operational decisions to ensure alignment with the operational objectives.Communication and Reporting:Create and present compelling narratives and updates for executive presentations.Prepare and present regular program updates and status reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive actionable outcomes.Program Management:Leads and contributes to functional initiatives related to inventory planning, ensuring timely execution and alignment with strategic goals.Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure successful program execution.Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.Monitor program progress against objectives, utilizing metrics and KPIs to assess performance and make data-driven decisionsQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred.5-10 years of experience in inventory planning, financial analysis, data analytics, data science, or a similar role, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making that tie into a financial plan.Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, including Excel and data visualization platforms such as Power BI.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering measurable business results.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.The base pay range for this role is $104,800 to $158,250 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
