POSITION SUMMARY:

The Strategic Marketing Manager manages all BrassCraft exploration into new business opportunities, connecting insights and market intelligence to business strategy to fuel growth.  Key deliverables include New Business Development Roadmap and key project management, opportunity assessments, market assessments, research initiatives, data and analysis for creating more informed decision making, leading company strategy development in various areas as assigned.

This position is a key role in strategic planning for BrassCraft. The role is a key resource to many stakeholders in the organization and interfaces regularly with executive staff and Masco corporate leadership. It is critical that this role actively collaborates with Sales, Marketing, and Finance. It is responsible for working with key business leaders to uncover opportunities and develop business cases for material growth both within existing business and through adjacent category expansions.   

This role acts as the single, unbiased source of truth for all aspects of market share reporting, market sizing, economic analysis and market/product/brand segmentation statistical work. It will do this through primary research (fully controlled by this function) and analysis of secondary research. 

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and maintain robust market models for each category/channel, where possible structure the model to the lowest segmentation while maintaining the integrity of the model. 

Execute all BrassCraft market research activities (including Purchase Funnel, Company Effectiveness Survey, VOM, etc.) and manage budget.

Execute market analysis and strategic market assessments.

Cultivate research vendor portfolio and panel of professionals for research.

Leverage various sister company’s research functions.

Major contributor to annual strategic planning process.

Work with New Product Development / Innovation team to gather, develop and refine insights to drive the innovation pipeline.

Development and active management of a new business development roadmap, both organic and inorganic.

Lead key ad hoc strategic projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or relevant technical field

Minimum 5 years of experience

Must possess expert level proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint. 

The individual in this role must have the ability to analyze and interpret data from various sources and apply it to business needs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 MBA or advanced degree or relevant training

Dealing with ambiguity while creatively solving problems.     

Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to articulate a vision at all levels of the organization. 

Exceptional project management, organizational, writing, & presentation abilities.

Hiring Range: $98,100.00 - $154,220.00

Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
