Strategic Marketing Program Manager

Job Summary

The Strategic Marketing Program Manager will be responsible for managing and driving excellence for both the internal and external marketing projects of Emerson’s Isolation Valves business unit. This role will collaborate with sales & marketing colleagues, business leaders, product management, SMEs and operations teams across Emerson’s global matrix organization. Strong project managements skills are essential to engage these teams to deliver projects that enhance the customer experience of Emerson’s customers, partners and employees.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Own the business unit’s global sales portal, collaborating with product and sales teams to ensure a complete, current, and readily accessible catalog of sales tools. Develop functionality for the business unit’s online properties that deliver a best-in-class user experience for Emerson’s customers, partners, and employees. Own the user experience to proactively drive improvements, solicit and action user feedback, and ensure seamless access and navigation. Coordinate with product, sales, and web teams to plan and implement the business unit’s search engine optimization program, manage projects with MyEmerson, Emerson.com and other DCX and Marcom initiatives within the BU. Manage the programmatic improvement of the business unit’s website presence including the content, connectivity, and findability of product, application, and industry pages. Own the sales-marketing connection to qualify, action and quantify the valve of marketing generated leads to evaluate and report on the return on investment of marketing programs. Define and deliver programs that engage and grow the customer base, ensuring that marketing efforts resonate with the target audience. Use modern marketing technologies and marketing platforms to streamline processes and enhance campaign effectiveness. Develop and report on the status of marketing programs, including updates, risks, schedules, return on investment, and priorities.  Develop and report consolidated financial data for GHG emissions, product program exhibits, and NPD program exhibits by collecting and aggregating information from various SBUs. Work with Product Material Compliance team and aggregate actions for following up with SBU engineering and product teams. Drive adoption of the NPD process further into the product programs through maintaining a Gate schedule for upcoming programs, preserving Gate summaries for later reference, and working with program teams to support their process needs. Provide regular updates on status of various NPD projects

For This Role, You Will Need:

Education in engineering, marketing, business, or a related field. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial for conveying clear information, actively listening, and ensuring all are aligned. Depending on the type of communication, you will have to use different channels and formats, such as emails, meetings, newsletters, webinars, or videos, to reach your audience and reinforce your message. Leadership and Teamwork: Inspire and guide teams, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve project goals and deliver successful marketing programs. Analytical and Critical Thinking: Evaluate market data, measure campaign performance, and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing strategies. Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Adapt to changing conditions, new technologies, and evolving market trends, and are adept at identifying issues, analyzing them, and developing effective solutions. Critical Thinking: Tie project tasks back to key business outcomes and think strategically about the long-term impact of marketing initiatives is crucial for success. Problem-Solving: Marketing program managers must be adept at identifying issues, analyzing them, and developing effective solutions. This includes handling unexpected challenges and mitigating risks. Creativity and Innovation: Generate imaginative ideas for campaigns and problem-solving, essential for designing engaging content and innovative marketing strategies. Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, preferably in an industrial or technology sector. Proven experience in effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan and implement strategic programs. Strong analytical and data-driven approach, with the ability to manipulate data, derive insights and take actions that deliver measurable results. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to navigate and interact with partners at all levels in a complex, global, matrix organization. Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment within a complex global organization. Demonstrated ability to influence experienced leaders in many different functions. Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver projects with multiple partners. Strong communication and presentation skills Successful track record

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Familiarity with valve technology and process end markets Highly proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly PowerPoint, Excel & Power Automate Familiarity with Oracle applications, particularly Eloqua, CRM Cloud Familiarity with SEO applications, particularly Google AdWords and Conductor Familiarity with analytics applications, particularly Google Analytics and Power BI Experience in working as part of a distributed team in a highly matrixed organization. Marketing experience is preferred.
