Strategic Operations Director

The Strategic Operations Director functions as a high-visibility Chief of Staff and strategic leader, supporting the Information Solutions (IS) SVP and GM, the broader business and team, including the recent addition of the Supplier Services organization.  This role spans key functions and operational areas, driving the development and execution of strategic initiatives across the business.  Additionally, the Director plays an active role in the RBU-wide CoS network, collaborating closely with peers to align and enhance organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with the SVP & GM to manage daily operations and optimize P&Ls across Information Solutions and Supplier Services.Provide guidance and support to the achievement of product-based P&Ls.Lead the communications strategy and planning for several business initiatives while fostering team engagement through clear organization, and collaboration.Coordinate with key functional leaders to drive execution of business priorities and milestones.Facilitate decision-making, track progress and risks, and ensure timely mitigation.Identify and share actionable insights; monitor and report on progress.Develop and maintain key content for senior client and partner engagements.Lead matrixed teams in crafting content/materials that showcase IS and Supplier Services capabilities and offerings.Support senior leaders in preparing for and engaging with key decision-makers/partners.Assist the SVP and GM in developing and executing strategic priorities across financial performance, portfolio, client, and team management.Lead key strategic initiatives that drive business growth and support leadership/career development.Facilitate regular leadership and team touchpoints, including town halls, announcements, and recognition programs.Support employee engagement efforts, including survey (e.g. EPS) and feedback initiatives.Foster a strong, inclusive, and connected team culture.Assist in driving the annual strategic planning process, in concert with Financial Planning, across Information Solutions, Supplier Services and the RBU.Collaborate with the SVP & GM and senior leaders to develop and deliver primary content in support of business-line reviews (BLRs), operational reviews (ORs), technology investments, and strategic planning.Lead the annual investment planning process, including the development, justification, and approval of investments to drive portfolio enhancements.Lead the development and delivery of business materials (primarily in PPT), ensuring messaging is aligned with IS strategic priorities and performance.Ensure business reviews and deep-dive discussions are thoroughly prepared and delivered, including shaping the agenda, building content, and alignment with strategic business priorities.Serve as an advisor, influencing decisions on operations, organization design, and client/partner success to drive scalable growth and long-term business impact.Represent Information Solutions and Supplier Services businesses to other key stakeholders as required (US RBU, Global RBUs, etc.), ensuring alignment with business priorities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree is highly preferred.8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, or related industry, with experience in at least one of the following areas – clinical, medical, commercial, brand and /or alternative.4+ years in a consulting role (either as lead or on a team), in US and / or global healthcare, is a plus.Experience with communication strategy and planning in Life Science, Communications, Marketing, Product Management, or related field is highly preferred.Proven ability to manage key stakeholder relationships and work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and communicate across all levels of the organization.Demonstrated strength in problem-solving, decision-making, and delivering high quality results on time.Strong team leadership skills, including a passion for team culture and development.Advanced proficiency in MS Office and related software tools.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $108,100.00 - $300,800.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
