Responsibilities inherent in the Strategic Planning SME role:

Develop strategic plans for transitioning legacy systems to secure, cloud-based platforms, emphasizing interoperability, scalability, and data exchange. Modernize data infrastructures to support customer needs, enabling real-time data access and integration with internal and external stakeholders. Conduct capability analyses to document operational requirements, including process automation, decision support, results management, and reporting functionalities. Identify critical cloud requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals for data accessibility, automated reporting, and scalability. Perform cost-benefit and risk assessments to recommend secure, scalable, and interoperable solutions that comply with organizational and federal standards. Collaborate with stakeholders, including operational, IT, and acquisition teams, to establish strategic roadmaps for system implementation and modernization. Oversee cloud migration plans, ensuring alignment with agency-specific and federal cloud modernization initiatives and compliance standards. Draft acquisition documents, such as needs assessments, operational requirements, and capability development plans, ensuring traceability to mission objectives and stakeholder priorities.
