Strategic Procurement Manager

Eaton Mission Systems Division in Davenport, Iowa is seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager to lead strategic procurement initiatives associated with new business opportunities.  This position is responsible for identifying, evaluating and pursuing potential solutions to address supply opportunities, risks or issues identified by our internal / external customers. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in business growth!

This position is located in Davenport, IA and will support a hybrid work schedule.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

•    Ensure effective and open communications amongst cross-functional peers and stakeholders
•    Lead supplier resiliency and cost-out projects to support business needs
•    Responsible for the smooth and effective management of subcontractors associated with resiliency / transition, ensuring smooth flow of customer requirements through the supply chain
•    Conduct research to identify competitive supply sources for complex parts without an existing supply route
•    Identify opportunities for synergy with wider Eaton supply chain and propose and assists in execution of appropriate supplier consolidations and transitions
•    With the support of Eaton Category Management, contributes to supplier contract negotiations ensuring Non-Disclosure (NDA), Long Term Agreements (LTA), or other contractual vehicles include protection of Eaton Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Proprietary data, and Non-Compete requirements. 
•    Perform supply chain activities to support timely customer bid submittal for new design concepts, including obtaining quotes from suppliers and negotiating prices and compliance with requirements
•    Serve as an escalation point to support production procurement efforts for non-performing suppliers, including direct supplier engagement to resolve production requirement disconnect
•    Produces summary content and report out to senior leadership in cadenced site leadership review meetings
•    Fosters healthy relationships within the supply base
•    Supports integration of key corporate supply chain processes
•    Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
•    Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
•    5+ years supply chain experience
•    No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates that currently reside within 70 miles of the Davenport, IA facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
•    This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Preferred Qualifications:
•    Bachelor degree in Business, Operations or Supply Chain
•    Previous leadership experience
•    Previous program management experience
•    Previous negotiating and indirect purchasing experience
•    MBA
