Strategic Procurement Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Procurement Manager to support our client and lead sourcing strategies. In this role, you will partner closely with internal stakeholders to manage spending across marketing, creative, and related categories, using your expertise to maximize efficiency and create value.
Hybrid (3 days in office) | San Jose, CA, Houston, TX, Seattle, WA, or Phoenix, AZ | Contract Position | Compensation range $62-95/HR Based on experience and location
What You'll Do
- Develop Sourcing Strategies: Build and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create scalable outsourcing models.
- Drive Supplier Management: Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, and manage preferred suppliers using scorecards and quarterly business reviews to ensure optimal performance.
- Optimize Spend and Value: Conduct spend analysis and benchmark external data to identify and drive opportunities for cost savings and enhanced value.
- Be a Trusted Advisor: Act as a commercial advisor to internal stakeholders, providing market insights, managing commercial risks, and ensuring favorable contract terms.
- Foster Relationships: Build strong relationships with internal and external partners, driving effective negotiations and seamless category management.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
- 5+ years in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing
- 6+ years managing multiple category areas in procurement
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Experience in strategic sourcing within Marketing, Creative, or Production categories
- Ability to work effectively across global time zones and manage ambiguity with a positive approach
