We can promise you rewarding work which makes a real impact, the chance to learn from inspiring colleagues from across a growing, global network and opportunities to grow personally and professionally. Our competitive package offers a wide range of benefits and rewards. The positionWorking as an integral member of the Northern Europe Supply Chain team, the Procurement Specialist will help deliver RES’ procurement requirements within the operations of wind, solar, energy storage and green hydrogen projects in Northern Europe. Job SummaryThe Strategic Procurement Specialist will lead the planning, negotiation and contracting for the procurement of selected goods, works and services for both RES’ renewable energy projects and those of our clients.   Working in line with RES’ Mission and the Procurement team’s strategy and processes, the Strategic Procurement Specialist will provide a degree of expertise and support to the wider business to ensure compliant and efficient purchasing and contracting of goods, works and services.  It will also require collaboration across multiple internal teams and stakeholders.  A flexible approach will be required to support the range of expected requests. The Strategic Procurement Specialist shall provide support in delivering these objectives to the Regional Supply chain, Spare Parts & Reconditioning Manager. The Strategic Procurement Specialist shall also mentor and support the UK supply chain team to build their skill set and capabilities.As this role works with our external suppliers and subcontractors the successful candidate will be responsible for setting a personal example for RES’ business conduct with our partners. AccountabilitiesThe successful applicant will be responsible for:Supporting the UK Procurement team and Supply Chain team to deliver on RES’ Mission and the Supply Chain team’s strategies and processesSupporting the Northern Europe business by efficiently providing high quality procurement of goods, works and servicesWorking with our existing suppliers, consultants and sub-contractors and, from time to time, identifying and on-boarding new suppliers Adherence to, and promotion of, existing RES Supply Chain and UK Procurement team strategies and processesPreparing tender packages, tendering and awarding small works contracts, consultancy agreements, large capital contracts, supply of goods agreements and purchase orders including bid evaluationMaintaining a close working relationship with the wider Supply Chain and UK Procurement teams to share feedback on supplier performanceKnowledgeIn depth understanding of contracts for the procurement of goods, works and service , including how they are structured and how they operateSolid understanding of renewable energy technologies, in particular Wind Turbines, Solar Modules, Power Conversion Systems, Batteries and, perhaps, Green HydrogenUnderstanding of the renewable energy supply chain would be an advantageAwareness of the importance of the HSQE requirements pertaining to Renewable EnergySkillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to represent RES credibly with suppliers and contractors and, potentially, with our clientsExcellent attention to detail and accountability for deliveryExcellent organisational skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines, multi-task and respond quickly to requestsSpecialist, Completer FinisherExperiencePrevious experience in a similar role is required.
