Strategic Project Manager-- Information Services -Regional Strategic Projects

Strategic Project Manager-- Information Services -Regional Strategic Projects

(This is a hybrid role that will involve some onsite work in Indianapolis, Indiana)

The Information Services Project Manager will directly manage projects, and coordinate the work of lead other Project Managers, and Project Coordinators assigned to the projects. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead multiple regional strategic system projects of small to moderate complexity involving multiple applications and business areas.  Act as a liaison between Informatics, Information Services, and Design and Construction teams.  Provide leadership and planning for IU Health's business and clinical projects.  Coordinate daily activities, communication, issue resolution, and financial management.  Oversee project resources and team activities.  Facilitate business processes, requirements, solutions, and test management related to IS technologies, and manage risks and issues to resolution. 

STRONGLY PREFERRED:

At least 3-5 years project management or relevant experience PMP (Project Management Process) certification is preferred but not required Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills High level knowledge of healthcare EMR systems (EPIC, Cerner) and technology integration preferred but not required. Experience in design and construction or healthcare organizations is desirable.  Applicants with backgrounds in Construction Management, Facilities/Property Management, Engineering/Design, or IT project management are encouraged to apply.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of relevant experience required. Requires an understanding of the Information Management principles, IT processes, Project Management Methodologies, architecture and technologies adopted by an organization. Required experience with enterprise PPM (Project and Portfolio Management) tools. Strong working skills with MS Office tools such as MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vizio etc. is preferred. Preferred experience with contractor and vendor management. Requires a demonstrated fundamental understanding of project accounting and financial management.
