PURPOSE The Strategic Research Fellowships are expected to last 2 years with the key responsibilities of providing baseline research updates to support EPB’s annual Energy & Connectivity Strategic Assessment Report (STAR). DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES o Energy & Communications market business intelligence research methods and techniques. o Financial statement research and analysis techniques. o Government database research and analysis techniques. o Data merging techniques. o Variety of data collection methods & techniques. o Database management tools and techniques. o Data visualization and charting techniques utilizing Tableau. o Business opportunity analysis and business planning methods. o Business report writing and presentation skills. o IMPLAN Model Applications. o Projects demanding problem solving & critical thinking to analyze & identify trends. o Application of economic theory from a community perspective. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE + MS Office Suite with strong Excel skills + Ability to read and understand financial statements + Excellent written & verbal communication abilities & strong attention to detail + Ability to work independently & with a team + Basic understanding of the technology landscape for business uses + Strong analytical skills, comfortable with qualitative & quantitative data + Knowledge & experience with SQL + Knowledge & experience with Bloomberg Terminal preferred but not required
