Responsible for overseeing and managing Sourcing and Procurement functions for one or more Ten Plus Steelcase dealers. Primary responsibilities include vendor management, program negotiations, monitoring activity and results, implementation of sales-support tools, creation and updating of reporting to support sourcing and procurement functions.
Responsibilities:
Manage the dealer(s)’s portfolio of suppliers—trade and non-tradeNegotiate program elements to lower cost of ownership and increase profitabilityCOGS improvements (deeper discounts, lower freight terms)Payment terms and deposit requirementsRebatesSales Generation programs (Market Development Funds and Spiffs)Cost avoidance (delayed or rescinded increases)Quantify generated savings and develop results reportingCreate and implement pricing guidelines to assure that total savings are not passed through to customersEstablish and implement TECH Freight program to reduce outbound freight expenseImplement sales-support tools at assigned dealer(s)—My Resource Library, Design Public Group portal, Amazon Business portal, Wayfair Professional PortalTrain dealer personnel on use of reports and sales-support toolsAdditional tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of experience in Sourcing/Procurement or related field
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
