Job Description:

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager at MARS responsible of Animal Protein you will be responsible of leading the category, through long term strategy that fits to business needs. Strategy will cover value creation through cost and cash conditions; innovation; risk management; quality and sustainability. In this role you will be responsible of managing category with Suppliers and with internal stakeholders, as accountable of enabling business objectives and needs.

What are we looking for?

3 years of sourcing experience managing direct or indirect categories.

Demonstrated negotiation skills, including working with RFPs, RFQs.

Benefitial: Knowledge with animal protein/commodities market.

Experience in commercial or supply chain.

Experience in supplier relationship management.

Mandatory English.

Demonstrated ability to work multi-cultural environment, volatile market and capacity to deal with ambiguity.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Creating strategy for category, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders.

Negotiating & awarding volume based on RFQ, RFP ensuring competitive cost vs market.

Managing relationship with suppliers ensuring they meet all MARS needs and KPIs.

Lead the scouting process for new suppliers and assess supplier capabilities.

Build relationships with new and existing suppliers, assessing the business risk and commercial growth with key partners.

Collaborate with R&D for new material qualification.
