Strategic Sourcing Manager
**Job Description** The Manager – Strategic Sourcing will be a key part of the strategic sourcing and supply chain processes for Casino and Onboard Media Content across all Carnival Corporation & plc Cruise Lines. Working closely with the Vice President – Global Strategic Sourcing and the Senior Manager – Global Casino Sourcing & Supply Chain, this individual will play an integral part in identifying, developing, and executing strategic sourcing initiatives for these categories. The Manager – Strategic Sourcing will work with suppliers as well as each cruise line onboard media professionals and with the Global Casino Operations team members. The individual is responsible for aligning strategies with business requirements, building trust with stakeholders and obtaining buy-in, strategically sourcing and negotiating contracts with suppliers. Further, the Manager – Strategic Sourcing will assist in the identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements in the sourcing and supply chain process for these categories, or in others as requested. **Essential Functions:** Strategic Sourcing – Onboard Media & Casino + Work with Corporate and Cruise Line leadership to develop the sourcing and procurement strategies for onboard media and casino, aligning with the companywide goals and objectives. + Partner with stakeholders to effectively leverage scale, simplify the supplier base, reduce total cost of ownership, improve guest and crew satisfaction. Manage differing interests towards a holistic solution which will benefit the organization as a whole. + Execute category strategies following the 7-step sourcing process and Global Strategic Sourcing’s processes. + Create strategic supplier partnerships that create a competitive advantage for the corporation. + Provide a significant positive financial impact by optimizing commercial terms through negotiations. + Improve tactical sourcing processes and create a plan to transfer sourcing work from tactical to strategic. + Leverage a market perspective to quickly assimilate external information (e.g. market drivers, macroeconomic conditions, etc.) to anticipate its impact across the business and work with leadership to develop associated strategies and action plans to maximize the opportunity. + Deliver against initiatives including savings and “total cost of ownership” targets and goals. Analytics & Reporting – Onboard Media & Casino + Acting as a financial steward, spearhead and manage projects to reduce total cost of ownership while meeting financial business goals and objectives (e.g., costs, service, quality, policies, supply & risk mitigation). + Participate in the development of business analytics and reporting including creating KPI reporting, analysis and communication with leadership. + Utilize data to identify sourcing and other opportunities, then create action plans and implement. + Utilize data to analyze results and quantify savings. Process Efficiencies – Onboard Media & Casino + Use continuous improvement principles and methodologies to drive process efficiency by minimizing transactional work and issue reoccurrence. Relationship Management – Suppliers and Stakeholders of Onboard Media & Casino + Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders by meeting with them regularly to gain intricate knowledge of their needs and leverage points for each area. Further, stay abreast of key business strategies, annual goals/objectives, economic challenges / opportunities, current trends, requirements, changes, etc. + Follow a heightened service excellence approach to exceed on customers’ expectations. + Build and maintain trusting working relationships by permanently assessing on needs and delivering upon those. + Perform project management duties which will include overseeing and ensuring quality delivery of assigned projects; collect, measure, report and communicate progress with key stakeholders. Further, apply project management concepts to deliver on time commitments. **Qualifications:** + Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree a plus + Discipline/Major: Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration or related + Required Certifications: CPM certification or equivalent is preferred + Required Years and Area of Professional Experience: 5 – 8 years of experience in strategic sourcing & supply chain. Strong experience in sourcing strategy creation and execution (e.g., 7 Step sourcing methodology). Media experience is a plus. Casino experience is a plus. + Critical Professional Related Technical/Computer Skills: Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, TEAMS, Word). Expertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint. Power BI knowledge a plus. Expertise with Sourcing/Procurement systems. **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:** Knowledge: + Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain required + Media and casino preferred Skills: + Strong negotiation skills + Strong business acumen + Strong analytical skills with demonstrated expertise in conducting complex analyses and distilling into a clear, concise business case + Strong facilitation and project management skills + Strong ability to interface with all levels and across departments + Strong relationship management skills + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Creative thinking / problem solving Abilities: + High energy and team player + Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, environment + Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently + Self-motivated with ability to work independently or as part of a team + Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines **Decision-Making:** + Tactical: Decisions focus on intermediate-term issues. The purpose of decisions made at this level are to help move CCL closer to reaching strategic goals. Outcomes are predictable. After a decision is made by Top Executive Leadership, the next phase is to take the needed steps to implement it. Examples are: The amount of money required to implement, which advertising agency to promote a new service or to provide an incentive plan to employees to encourage increased revenue + Operational: Decisions focus on day-to-day activities within the company. Decisions made at this level help to ensure that daily activities proceed smoothly and therefore help to move the company toward reaching a strategic goal. They have short term consequences. Examples are: Handling employee conflicts, purchasing materials needed for operations. Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Travel: Less than 25% with non-shipboard travel likely. Work Conditions: Work in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. The range for this role’s salary $75,900-$135,000. Offers to the selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
