Strategic Sourcing Manager

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy for HR and IT services that aligns with company objectives. Continuously monitor market trends, evaluate supplier capabilities, and identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation.Identify opportunities for cost reduction and containment within the responsible category while maintaining quality standards. Lead cost modeling and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.Facilitate the process of developing, implementing, and managing contracts for wide range of agreements.Demonstrates understanding of typical or more routine RFX processes, efficiently manages multiple transactional stakeholder needs and supplier details.Independently develops transactional or routine specifications with stakeholders or assists with complex specifications with guidance from more senior resources.Supports benchmarking of suppliers for price and processes and can present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner. Understands the principles, tools, and techniques of basic negotiation; supports preparations for larger or more complex projects.Keeps internal stakeholders well informed of progress in sourcing, negotiation and contracting processes.Checks in regularly with internal stakeholders to determine their level of satisfaction with a given procurement service or process, as well as suppliers; suggests alternative ways of resolving any issues.Under guidance, drafts or proposes constructive feedback to suppliers based on analysis of results.Understands the application and implications of contract law and compliance requirements; knows standards terms and conditions and how to apply them to transactional agreements.Knows when to seek advice or escalate procurement issues. Continuously align tasks with area and stakeholder priorities.Participate in external procurement councils.Forms and brokers partnerships with suppliers based on mutual business value principles: compatibility of interests, mutual need, openness, and trust.Participate/assist in Supplier reviews.

Skill Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position will have the following experiences and expertise:

Demonstrated strong experience in negotiating, contracting, and working with suppliers across multiple categories.Exceptional analytical, conflict resolution, change management, project management, and problem-solving abilities.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including influencing and persuasion.Leadership experience and presence to interact with senior leaders.Strong expertise in RFx process and understand procurement processes.Strong client service orientation and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.Self-starter and strategic mindset.Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or related work experience. Master’s degree a plus.5+ years relevant work experience.
