Strategic Sourcing Manager – Carmel, IN

Lead a commodity sourcing team responsible for manufactured product across a variety of commodity categories; Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), wire harnesses, motors & drives, plastics, electro-mechanical assembly, etc.) and provide daily management and support to them for the Americas business regions.

Lead the development and execution of comprehensive commodity strategies that exceed both short term and long-term business goals.Be accountable for all commercial negotiations and supplier selections within assigned commodity families.Manage strategic suppliers through formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process and accountable for managing supplier performance (KPIs) and supplier risk across all responsible commodities.Engage and collaborate with NPD Procurement teams to support new product development (NPD).

What You Will Do:

Align with functional stakeholders across region to incorporate product and manufacturing strategies into commodity strategies while gaining leadership supportProvide daily leadership and management and support to commodity team members while continually developing and expanding individual and team capabilitiesAccountable for supplier performance via supplier risk and performance scorecards, supplier watch lists, managing supplier escalations, and developing performance improvement plans aligned with Operations and Business objectives and strategiesLead commodity team members to collect and analyze commodity and market data, and develop and execute comprehensive commodity playbook strategies that exceed both short term and long term KPIsAccountable for all commercial negotiations and supplier selections within commoditiesIdentify opportunities for consolidation of suppliers to improve the supply chain design and maximize scale and cost optimizationPartner with regional functional teams to ensure delivery of cost productivity, improved payment terms, and improved supplier quality and deliveryResponsible for management of strategic suppliers through formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process to improve supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, productivity, and innovationEngage with NPD Procurement teams to support new product development (NPD) and new technology introduction (NTI), through preferred supplier and SRM programsAccountable for team reporting and managing of commodity inflation, both mitigation and recovery

What You Need to Succeed:

Ability to travel up to 33% internationallyBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field10+ years of increasing responsibility in the areas of Strategic Sourcing, Materials Management, Operations, Quality, Engineering, or related field, including supervisory experience preferred​Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Excel (e.g., excel pivot tables, macros, etc.) and PowerPoint Strong business acumen and analytical thinking, as well as supplier management and contract negotiation experienceExcellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence at all levels of the organizationMust be a strategic thinker and have demonstrated experience driving strategies and projectsExperience in the development and management of a global supply base is preferredExperience managing multiple electronic manufacturing service providersExperience developing supply chain analytic tools, ERP, GEP, etc.
