Strategic Sourcing Manager (Europe) (H/F/X)

Location: Aimargues (30 min from Montpellier), Vienna (BRK), Krakow (RNI)
The EU Strategic Sourcing Manager is accountable for defining and ensuring 100% sourcing of their category portfolio within Royal Canin for Europe.
They will be able to assess and improve the sourcing activities by analyzing Royal Canin’s environment, spend, partnership and develop the appropriate recommendation to fulfil the business need, in accordance with Royal Canin's standards, for our four European factories.
What are we looking for?
4-5 years of professional experience in direct sourcing, preferably in packaging category (flexible, paper, corrugated)Experience developing and deploying sourcing strategies for multiple countries.A previous experience in a consumer goods company would be a plus.Self-motivated to develop his own activity and to take initiative.Ability to set up a vision and embark team/stakeholders.Ability to anticipate and manage risk (financial, supply, quality).Conscious of food safety and nutritional quality. Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral).Work Travels to be expected in Europe
What will be your key responsibilities?
Be the point of reference for regional category needs. Initiate and drive stakeholder engagement and feedback of regional business needs. Ensure regional needs are defined and represented in the development/ creation of global category sourcing strategy with the Global Category Leader, utilizing the Mars Strategic Sourcing Methodology.Based on Sourcing strategies and identified strategic suppliers, prepare and drive the roadmap and KPI to continuously improve supply, quality, innovation, sustainability and savings.Initiate and drive the activity management process to meet the needs of inbound supply, communicating raw material availability and risks to appropriate stakeholders.Drive the annual Budget, including risks and opportunities. Develop external insights and manage Market intelligence to optimize the raw material pricing.Analyze supply, quality, financial and regulatory risk, prepare associated business case and action plan to mitigate risks.Responsible for the respect of the nutritional quality and safety of the materials from the portfolio supplied to the EU factories. Manage suppliers and participate to quality monitoring & audit, with the support of Supplier Quality Assurance technologist. Partner with Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) associates to manage quality exceptions and crisis management process in order to minimize business impact
